District Administration directs for vehicular movement in odd, even patterns in Cachar from May 13

In view of significant increase of Covid 19 postive cases in Cachar District and in pursuant order of Government of Assam on Wednesday, the restriction regarding plying of private and personal vehicles have been made from 5 AM to 2 PM in Cachar District.

Issuing an order to this effect on Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairperson District Disaster management Cachar Keerthi Jalli IAS stated that vehicles with odd numbers will be allowed to ply on odd dates, for example vehicle number ending with 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 on 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21st, 23rd May, 2021 and vehicle ending with even number will be allowed to ply on even dates, for example vehicle ending with 0, 2, 4, 6, 8 on 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th May, 2021.

It further stated that this order will not be applicable in respect of government vehicles, water tankers, milk carrying vans, Ambulance, LPG Distribution vans, vehicles hired or private used for medical duty, Covid 19 duty on production of valid ID proof, personal vehicles used for medical emergency.
