Ditumoni Goswami transferred, Utpal Bhattacharjee to be the new OC of Silchar; Reshuffle in Assam Police
The Director-General of Police (DGP) has issued an order today announcing a rejig in the Police department. The order issued from the Ulubari Headquarters of Assam Police stated that the transfers will be effective immediately.
Silchar OC Ditumoni Goswami has been transferred to OC Barama, Baksa. Goswami had joined as the OC of Silchar Sadar Police Station in November 2018. He had taken charges from Indrajit Chakraborty who was transferred to the chief minister’s vigilance cell. The order issued by the DGP states that Utpal Bhattacharjee, Police Commisionarate Guwahati will be the new OC of Silchar. It is worth mentioning here that Bhattacharjee will assume charges of the Silchar Police Station after “release from suspension”.
Ranjan Doley, OC Katigorah has been transferred and posted as OC Barpeta Police Station. Doley will be replaced by Manuj Narzary, V&(AC) Assam in Katigorah. Sanjib Kumar Das, OC Udharbond will be transferred to Sarbhog PS in Barpeta. Pradip Haloi V&AC will replace him as OC Udharbond. Nirmal Chandra Biswas OC of Borkhola transferred as CI Belsor, Nalbari. Mon Mohan Rout BI(EO) Assam will be the new OC of the Police station.
Bimal Khapley Chetri OC Lakhipur has been transferred to Kamrup as OC North Guwahati. Rajesh Kumar Das BI(EO) Assam will replace him as the OC of Lakhipur Police Station in Cachar. Sanjib Kumar Goswami, Traffic Inspector of Silchar has also been transferred.
Sanjib Terong, OC of Patherkandi in Karimganj will be transferred as OC Paneri PS, Udalguri. Samarjit Basumatary will be the new OC at Patherkandi. Bhul Ram Terang Karimganj OC will now be the OC of Dibrugarh Police Station. Bijit Dadhara, SB Assam will be the new OC of the Police Station.
Pranab Kumar Saikia, OC Hailakandi Police Station has been transferred and will now be the OC of Demaw PS in Sivsagar
