Dr. Arun Paul Choudhury did not suffer a heart attack; "He is fine and at home" Dr. Ahmed Hussain Choudhury
Renowned gynecologist, Dr. Arun Paul Choudhury is fine and at home. Dr. Ahmed Hussain Choudhury, registrar – Department of Cardiology, Silchar Medical College and Hospital rubbished the reports that suggested Dr. Arun Paul Choudhury has suffered a heart attack.
“Rumours must not be spread in this manner. Exaggeration has a limit,” said Dr. Ahmed. He added, “Dr. Arun Paul Choudhury was in his PPE while at a lecture and felt a little dizzy in the classroom. There were no signs of a heart attack. He was brought to the department and after medical checkup we have suggested him to take rest at home. He is fine now.”
There were rumours doing round that Dr. Arun Paul Choudhury has been referred outside the state for better treatment. “There is nothing like that,” said Dr. Ahmed.
“The PPE makes people feel suffocated and he probably felt dizzy and uncomfortable because of that. He had dizziness but that has got nothing to do with a heart attack,” asserted, Dr. Ahmed.
This comes as a major relief for the people of Barak Valley who were worried after reading the rumours on social media.
