DSA: Three-way fight for the post of Indoor Secretary, turmoil in Town Club over Referee Secretary

The fight for the post of Indoor Secretary of Silchar District Sports Association has become interesting. Animesh Chanda has arrived at the field to give a tough challenge to the present Indoor Secretary Sanju Roy. Now former shuttler Nabendu Sinha also joined this fight. As a result, the fight for the indoor secretary is going to be three-way.

The Udharband Sports Association (USA) has been at the center of controversy for some time now. Both sides claim US title rights. Among this, current Indoor Secretary Sanju Roy has joined DSA as a general council member from the old committee. Of course, this is nothing new as Sanju represents the US in DSA. The new committee of USA strongly protested about this. Besides, there are several complaints against Sanju as the Indoor Secretary. As a result, Sanju is not in a very good position at the moment. Animesh and Nabendu want to use this opportunity as a tool.

Animesh belongs to the ruling party. As a result, it puts him far ahead in the three-way fight. The opposition camp is supporting Sanju. One can hear gossips of Sanju belonging to President Babul Hore’s lobby. Nabendu can also turn the tide in his favour even though he is behind in the game.

On the other hand, there has been turmoil in Town Club over the post of Referee Secretary of DSA. Tapan Das, the current Referee Secretary of DSA is holding that position for many years. He is the representative of Town Club. But this time Assistant Secretary (Sports) Samar Roy of Town Club has challenged him. Club President Dilip Nandi wanted to solve this problem by discussing this issue among themselves. But his attempt failed. He then later asked the two members of the club to resign from their positions. Both Tapan Das and Samar Roy accepted the order of the President. However, none of them have resigned so far.

Town Club’s Bikash Das is also the Football Secretary of Silchar District Sports Association. No one has challenged him so far. Surprisingly, the football department of Silchar District Sports Association is the most important that needs to be taken care of because the quality of football in Silchar is going down day by day. There is no shortage of talent in rural areas. Still, Silchar District Sports Association has failed miserably in bringing out those talents. So there is a lot of work to be done with football. Despite all this, no one is interested in the post of Football Secretary! This one information only shows the willingness of those who have become general council members in Silchar District Sports Association!
