Final year MBBS student of SMCH Dickson Panmei dies in a road accident inside campus

In an unfortunate turn of affairs, MBBS Final Year Student of Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Dickson Panmei has lost his life.

Last night (today morning) he met with a road accident inside the SMCH campus which took his life. SMCH has officially confirmed the death of the eighth-semester student.

In-charge of Ghungoor Police Station informed that it was a motorcycle accident that took the life of the budding doctor. According to the information available to the Police, Panmei was riding the motorcycle and Alvin was the pillion rider. At around 3:30 am, the bike went and collided with a wall.

Dickson Panmei died on the spot whereas Alvin sustained some injuries. They were rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared Panmei dead and treated Alvin. Panmei sustained severe head injuries due to which he lost his life.

Panmei is a resident of Shivalik Park in Silchar and he had visited his friend Alvin who stays at the hostel of SMCH.
