Former MP, Sushmita Dev tests negative for COVID 19; Will be discharged soon 

11 days after testing positive for COVID19, All India President of Mahila Congress and former MP, Sushmita Dev has tested negative for COVID 19. Today, at around 5:00 PM she was officially informed by the superintendent of Silchar Medical College and Hospital that her sample has tested negative.

“The superintendent told me that the report along with all the papers will be sent to the discharge board and then the discharge board will finalise when I can be discharged for home,” informed Sushmita Dev while speaking with Barak Bulletin.

She added that she is thankful to all for taking good care of her during the treatment.

Dev was tested for COVID 19 on July 7 and on July 8 she was admitted to the COVID block at Silchar Medical College and Hospital. She was tested because she had come in contact with the director of Green Heals Hospital, Rudra Narayan Gupta.

Rudra Narayan Gupta tested positive on July 6, 2020, and is still under treatment at SMCH.
