Fraternity in 'UNISHER MAHA PATH CHOLA': 30 artists from Bangladesh joins Candle March

Keeping in mind the picturesque of Martyrs Day, a massive candle march was organised by Sammilito Sanskritik Moncho. The rally witnessed people from all age, cultural, political and literature groups. Organisation like Barak Valley Blood Donor’s Forum also took part in the gathering.

30 people came all the way from Bangladesh and attended the rally representing ‘Sammilito Jot, Sylhet’. They had everyone’s attention in the rally because of their chorus. The march began from Rangirkhari point and ended at Bhasha Shahid Station Silchar.

Matribhasha Surakkha Samiti, Udharband Matribhasha Oikko Moncho, Team Icchedana, Udoyer Pothe, Trinoyoni Samajik o Sanskritik Sangstha also took part in the rally. They put forward an appeal to every common citizen to join the event and make it successful.

Ajoy Roy, Asish Bhowmick, Subrata Bhattacharjee and few other people also spoke about the motive of the gathering. Retired Railway employee Nazimuddin Ahmed, who was the main figure behind the planning of the event, from more than two decades was being felicitated at the rally. Unlike earlier, no political faces were seen this time during the rally.

Artists from Sammilito Sanskritik Jot, Sylhet were also felicitated before the flag off of the rally. They also exchanged sweets among the guests as a mark of a warm welcome to India for their cultural performance. The rally ended with some patriotic songs performed by various organisations present there.
