Gang of digital robbers arrested from Katigorah by Police

The six robbers who robbed a driver in Katigorah using UPI QR code were arrested by the Police in a special operation conducted last night. The robbers were identified as Sharif Uddin, Ariful Islam, Abdul Hannan, Sarimul Islam, Alimur Uddin and Srim Uddin.

The Police have confirmed that all six of them were involved in the digital robbery incident that took place in Katigorah.

Since the last few days incidents of robbery have been increasing in Katigorah. On Monday night, the robbers robbed a driver who parked his truck by the side of National Highway No. 6 in Katigorah.

They asked him to make digital payment using their UPI QR code as the driver had less amount of cash with him. The Police later launched an investigation into the incident and arrested the robbers from Tintikri Sarishakuri village of Katigorah on Monday night. These robbers have been committing robbery in Katigorah for a long time. Currently they are kept at Katigorah Police Station and are being questioned.
