Gas tanker accident has caused mass anxiety in Kalain’s Batgram, people fled homes fearing an explosion

Centring a gas tanker truck accident in Kalain’s Batgram has resulted in mass anxiety among the villagers. Many have even fled their homes fearing a gas explosion due to the accident. Later with police intervention, a recovery truck, a crane and fire-fighters, the truck was brought to the road and successfully evacuated from the accident spot.

This incident happened this morning when the gas tanker truck lost its control and skidded off the road into a ditch. According to the available information, the truck was heading towards Silchar from Kalain. When the locals heard of this incident, everyone in the village became cautious. This news spread like wildfire and the villagers were scared of an explosion that might happen from the tanker.

Many people even fled their homes fearing their life might be at risk. Later when the police came and rescued the truck, the people breathed a sigh of relief. Police from the Kalain Police Station reached there with a recovery truck and crane to pull out the truck from the low-lying area.

In the presence of the firefighters and water engine, this truck was restored to the road and taken away from that area without any mishap. Only after the Indane Gas truck registered at Nagaland was taken from the place by the recovery team, the villagers returned to their homes.
