Hailakandi administration prepares for Lok Sabha elections

In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the Hailakandi district administration has geared up fully for holding of free and fair election in the district.

At a meeting convened at her office conference hall here on Saturday, Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli asked the officers in charge of all cells to leave no stone unturned for smooth conduct of the election in the three LACs falling under HP 1 Karimganj constituency.

The meeting focused on introducing of VVPAT through demonstration as well as EVM among the voters to dispel doubts and to press home the message loud and clear about the effectiveness and efficacy of the voting machines.

The administration will make ‘SVEEP’Ing moves to enhance the percentage of voting in areas that recorded least turn out of voters in last Assembly election and enrollment of eligible voters.
