Hailakandi Raijor Dol leader files FIR against Katlicherra MLA for insulting his deceased father and defaming him over phone call

An FIR was filed against Hailakandi MLA by a leader of Rajor Dol. The FIR was filed today in Lala Police Station against Katlicherra constituency’s MLA Sujam Uddin Laskar by Rajor Dol’s Hailakandi District President Johir Uddin Laskar. He has accused MLA Sujam Uddin for insulting his deceased father and defaming him.

It maybe mentioned that AIUDF MLA Sujam Uddin Laskar used unconstitutional words in a phone call addressed to Raijor Dol leader Johir Uddin. The audio recording of the call became viral through social media in Hailakandi. Based on this call recording, Raijor Dol’s District President Johir Uddin lodged an FIR today at the Police Station.

Speaking to reporters Johir Uddin Laskar said “Since last few days a call recording of Katlicherra’s MLA became viral. He used abusive words against me and my deceased father in the call. As an elected representative it is unconstitutional for him to use abusive words like that. I have been protesting against the scams and corruption of Katlicherra MLA since many days. Recently I agitated with the public against the conspiracy of the MLA to shift the Model Degree College located in South Hailakandi.

He added, “Classes are going on in that college since the last four years. I have lodged an FIR at Lala Police Station and talked to the SP as well as OC. They have assured me that investigation will be performed and action will be taken against the MLA. The Burmese Betel Nuts syndicate is going on in Hailakandi under the leadership of the MLA.”
