Hanging body of housewife found in Silchar's Shiv Colony

Sunanda Das, wife of Satyajit Das, a resident of Silchar Shiv Colony, committed suicide by hanging herself inside her two-storey house.

The deceased’s brother told reporters that Sunanda Das woke up in the morning and started doing housework. After a while, she went to a room in the second floor and locked the door. After a lot of search her family found the door of a room closed. They broke the door open and found her dead body hanging inside the room. After that, the husband of the deceased wife informed the police. The police came and recovered the dead body and sent it to Silchar Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. It is not known why she committed suicide till the time of writing this article.

Speaking to reporters, the brother of the deceased housewife told, “At around 11 am a I got a phone call from her brother-in-law that she committed suicide. He told me that they searched the entire house but couldn’t find her so they broke open a room and found her dead body hanging inside. Accordingly we went to her house.”
