Hailakandi District Chess Association (HDCA) has announced the 16th Hailakandi District Chess Championship to be held on February 27 and 28, 2021. The two-day tournament will be organized at the premises of Blue Flowers English Medium High School. This was announced through an official poster of the HDCA.
The tournament will have seven junior categories, namely U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 for both boys and girls. Also, there are women, veteran and open categories as well.
On behalf of the Hailakandi District Chess Association (HDCA), General Secretary Pratul Sinha said, “With great enthusiasm, we are excited to announce that like every year, we are organizing the 16th edition of the Hailakandi District Chess Championship going to be held at the Blue Flowers English Medium HS School.
This year, we have seven junior categories as well as veteran, women and open categories. The tournament will start at 4:30 pm on February 27. We are hopeful that just like every year, this year too we’ll get to see great enthusiasm in participation.”
The organizers have kept online registration for participation in this chess tournament, the link of which will be open for registration till 2 pm on February 27. However, there will be on-spot registration as well starting from 2 pm and will be available until 3:30 pm on the same day. The HDCA expects the tournament to be a grand success.
