15 injured in head on collision of traveller with bike in Hailakandi's Lakhirband

Fifteen passengers got injured in a head on collision of a bike with a traveller in Lakhirband area adjacent to Hailakandi City this afternoon.

A Silchar traveller heading towards Ramkrishnagar named ‘Jay Thakurbani’ collided with a motorbike, the impact being so tremendous that the traveller fell in a nearby paddy field. The driver of the motorbike and all passengers of the traveller got injured more or less due to the fatal impact. Locals immediately rushed to the spot and sent the injured persons to Hailakandi SK Roy Civil Hospital. Police also came to the spot and supervised the rescue operations.

Joynal Uddin Laskar (30) and Foyez Ahmed Barbhuiya (32) were referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) for better treatment. Sensing trouble, the traveller driver ran away after the accident.
