Head-on collision on Silchar-Karimganj road claims life of one truck driver

A truck driver was killed in a road accident on NH 06 in Badarpur district of Karimganj as two trucks collided head-on. The accident occurred when a truck (AS01GC 7447) bound for Karimganj from Badarpur collided head-on with a truck (AS01 EC 7978) coming from the opposite direction. The driver of AS01GC 7447 got killed on the spot.

The deceased driver Babur Hussain of Bakhorchal village in Karimganj district and seriously injured driver of the other truck Bikash Das of Kanchanbari area located in ​​Tripura were shifted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

The accident was so fatal that one arm of deceased driver Babur Hussain got detached and fell on the national highway.
