Hercules Roadeo bike stolen from Link Road at 8 in the morning
First Link Road is a busy residential area and at 8 in the morning most of the residents are wide awake, getting ready to leave for work.
Lane 1B resident, Sayak Purkayastha’s father too had left for work and he was talking to his mother inside. All of a sudden he heard a sound and rushed to the door, the door was locked from outside. He ran out through the alternate exit and found out his Hercules Roadeo bicycle is missing.
“The bike was kept inside the grill, the thieves entered the house then opened the grill and locked the main door from outside. After that they ran away with the bike,” informs Sayak Purkayastha.
He had bought the bike worth Rs 8000 last month through one of the ecommerce platforms. “A friend of mine told me he saw a similar bike somewhere near Malugram and so I am rushing there. I will also lodge a complaint at the nearest police station,” says Sayak Purkayastha.
It is an alarming sign that the thieves in Silchar have no fear at all and they are stealing stuff in broad daylight. It also exposes loopholes in the security.
