Himanta Biswa Sarma likely to visit Red Cross Hospital this month
Minister of health, finance and PWD, Government of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma is likely to visit Silchar this month. Yesterday, at an event organised by Red Cross Society, Silchar, BJP district president, Kaushik Rai said that if Sarma does not get engaged with something urgent he is scheduled to visit Silchar at the end of this month.
Rai also informed that Sarma has Red Cross Hospital in his list of priorities and would visit the hospital to take stock once he is in Silchar. BJP spokesperson also mentioned that Red Cross Hospital plays a vital role in serving those who cannot afford treatment in private nursing homes and hence it is important that the hospital and the society continue to grow. He added that people for all around the Northeastern region gets treated in the Red Cross Hospital located in Silchar.
Yesterday at the same event the newly elected member of parliament from Silchar Lok Sabha constituency, Rajdeep Roy committed to donating Rs 20 lakh while the new deputy speaker of Assam, Aminul Haque Laskar announced that he will sanction Rs 10 lakh, five from his MLA fund while Rs 5 lakh from the deputy speaker’s kitty.
Both spoke about the importance of Red Cross Hospital and stated that it is very important that the hospital continues to develop for the benefit of the common people.
