Holiday declared on 28th October, Monday; Banks, offices to remain shut

By exercising the powers conferred by Assam government notification number dated 19 December 2019, the Cachar Deputy Commissioner has declared a local holiday under NI Act on 28th October 2019 throughout the district of Cachar in connection with the Kali Puja/ Diwali festival.

All the state government offices including revenue and magisterial courts, education institutions, financial institutions will remain closed on that day.

“The holiday will not affect the emergency services and all duties and services related to various kinds of examination/written Test/ interviews etc. ancillary services related thereto.” said the order issued on Friday.
