HSLC Exam Scandal Unfolds: Question Paper Allegedly Shared on Social Media From Nena Mia School in Cachar

The Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) commenced the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examinations today across the state with heightened security measures. However, within just 30 minutes of the exam’s commencement, a scandalous development emerged as the question paper surfaced on social media platforms, casting a shadow over the integrity of the examination process.

The spotlight turned to Nena Mia High School in Baskansi, Cachar, as allegedly the leaked question paper originated from this institution. The swift dissemination of the exam material prompted immediate action from authorities, with police officials and civil administrators swiftly mobilizing to address the situation. Allegedly, a staff of the school or a teacher is involved in this scam as students did not have access to mobile phones while with the question paper.

In response to the alarming development, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Numal Mahatta personally visited several examination centers, including those deemed sensitive, to oversee the security arrangements. Meanwhile, the police and civil administration have launched a thorough investigation to verify the authenticity of the leaked question paper.

Cachar district, where Nena Mia High School is located, is home to a total of 41 examination centers, making it crucial for authorities to swiftly contain any irregularities that may compromise the fairness and credibility of the examination process.

The incident has sparked concerns among students, parents, and education authorities alike, highlighting the urgent need for robust measures to safeguard the integrity of examination procedures in Assam. As the investigation unfolds, stakeholders await further updates on the extent of the breach and the measures taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The SEBA authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, leaving many questions unanswered as the examination season progresses.
