HSLCE Merit List: Holy Cross Kabuganj’s Sinam Jaiphabi Chanu secures 4th; 2 from Cachar, 1 from Karimganj share 9th place

The Board of Secondary Education Govt of Assam has announced the results of the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE). The students in Assam secured a 72.69 pass percentage up from 56.49 in 2022.

Four students from Barak Valley made it into the merit list of the top 10 ranks. Sinam Jaiphabi Chanu of Holy Cross Kabuganj secured 4th rank with a total of 591 marks out of 600. With this Chanu became the topper in Barak Valley in 2023. Ritaja Deb of Silchar Collegiate School scored 586 marks to secure 9th place. The same position was also shared by Dikshita Bhattacharjee of Holy Cross HS School. Another student Sukanya Das (Rowlands Memorial High School) from Barak Valley scored 586 marks and shared the 9th position.

8,517 students secured distinction marks (510 and above) and 18,653 scored star marks (450 and above). 4,15,324 candidates had appeared for HSLC exams 2023 and a total of 3,01,880 passed with 94,913 first division, 1,48,573 second division, and 58,934 third division.
