Roy added that BJP is the only political party for the Hindus and he is proud to be a cadre of such a powerful party. “It is the most powerful party in India at this stage and the whole country is with it. Political parties and leaders are shaped by the mass people and now people are with BJP,” added Roy.
Right after the news of Roy joining BJP broke in Barak Valley, it has caused tremors among the karya kartas in the valley. There is a fear that he will get his own people and do things according to his wisdom ignoring the loyal BJP workers.
Protests surfaced in Hailakandi too, “I don’t think anybody will have any problem with me joining BJP. I have not joined the party to take anyone’s spot. I simply want to serve the Hindus as a worker and I will do so. I am visiting Hailakandi and tomorrow I will meet the people there. Anybody has any problems, I will listen to them and try and justify to win their trust,” Roy concluded.
