IndiGo announces daily direct flight between Silchar and Kolkata, SpiceJet withdraws

Airline operator IndiGo has now introduced daily direct flights between Silchar and Kolkata. SpiceJet’s earlier daily flight from Silchar Airport has now been withdrawn. The IndiGo flight will operate in the CCU-IXS-CCU sector daily. The flight will arrive at Silchar from Kolkata at 8:20 in the morning and again depart for Kolkata at 8:55 AM.

The A-320 flight operated by IndiGo is the only daily flight now other than Air India that will take off from Silchar for Kolkata. Earlier, SpiceJet too had direct flights in this sector, but has been withdrawn in the Winter Schedule due to operational reasons. SpieceJet now has daily direct flights between Silchar and Guwahati only.

Taking to social media, Silchar Airport shared the new schedule and wrote, “In the amended Winter schedule of SilcharAirport, IndiGo flt no. 713/663 will now operate daily & FlySpiceJet has withdrawn it’s flt no. SG 2991/2992. Passengers are requested to check up with concerned Airlines for any further updates in schedule.”

Other than Indigo, Air India also has direct flights between Silchar and Kolkata which departs from Silchar at 7:45 AM and arrives from Kolkata at 7:10 AM.
