Indigo withdraws decision to add flight in Silchar owing to "operational constraints"

Indigo Airlines, which earlier, according to Silchar AAI, announced to introduce an anniversary special Silchar Kolkata direct flight has now withdrawn it citing operational constraints.

“We regret to inform that the additional flight of Indigo airlines 6E361/362 which was proposed to operate from 22.09.2020 stands cancelled due to Operational constraints. We hope to see additional flights in forthcoming winter schedule,” Airports authority informed on Twitter yesterday.

Earlier the authority informed that starting 22 September, the airlines will begin daily direct flight between Silchar and Kolkata as its first anniversary gift to Silchar.

Hence, amending its earlier announced schedule, Airport authority has removed the flight from its schedule.

As of now, there are two flights of Indigo for Silchar, doing Silchar-Kolkata and Silchar-Guwahati, two of Spicejet doing the same route of Kolkata and Guwahati and one biweekly flight of Air India between Silchar and Kolkata.
