IPL Betting rampant in Silchar; Bettors using 'High-tech' formula to stay ahead of the Police

Bettors do good business through IPL in this way every year. Surprisingly, IPL bettors are thriving at a time when the whole world is suffering from a financial crisis due to the Corona pandemic.

Also, the bettors are upgrading themselves with each edition of the IPL. Now IPL betting takes place in a high-tech formula, as they’ve even created an app for it. However, IPL betting going on in Silchar and its surrounding areas are mostly with the help of mobile phones only.

In the city of Silchar, IPL betting is rampant in areas like Tarapur, Ramnagar, Ashram Road, Rongpur, Chengcoorie Road, College Road, Rangirkhari, National Highway road and Das Colony. A certain boss from the Das Colony and Shiv Colony areas of Silchar controls this IPL betting business in all the places of the city. The whole system runs under his direction. Every night, at the end of the match, the ‘audit report’ is submitted to the boss.

Different classes of people in the city are taking part in IPL betting. However, teenagers are found more in number in such cases. Now IPL betting has reached such a stage where many housewives are also investing in their favourite IPL teams.

Apart from which team would win and who would win the toss, the bettors also give the customers four sessions per every five overs. In other words, customers will be able to bet on how many runs will be scored in this five-over session. The code for the 15-20 over session is ‘Long’. Moreover, which team will be the eventual champion of the IPL in an edition can also be bet on. The eight teams in the IPL have a fixed rate. At the moment, according to that rate, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians are at the top of the list and the bottom is the Kings XI Punjab. However, after every match, this rate fluctuates.

They no longer sit in one place and do betting business through TV. Our special team is keeping an eye on it. We have already searched a couple of places but haven’t found anything yet. We shall continue our work though.”
