
Itkhola and India Club to play the Super Division final in floodlights, Town Club eliminated from the tournament
Itkhola AC will play against India Club in the Super Division Cricket Final on December 22. The final match will be played under flood lights. The match will start at 12:30 PM. However, Silchar District Sports Association has given a condition to both the teams. The flood lights have some technical glitches. No team can complain about the lighting during the match. The two finalists have agreed to this condition.
Itkhola AC easily defeated Town Club in the second semi-final of the Super Division cricket on Tuesday by six wickets. Itkhola won the toss and invited the opponent to bat first. Town Club were all out for 134 runs in 39.2 overs after being called to bat. Joydeep Roy scored the highest 39 runs for his team. Besides, Rishikesh Das scored 27 runs and Sameer Sinha scored 20 runs. Subhojit Paul and Chandan Goala took three wickets each. Samik Das took two wickets. Ranji star Pritam Das got one wicket.
In reply, Itkhola chased down the target after losing four wickets in 31.4 overs. After bowling, Subhojit Paul also showed his excellence with the bat by scoring 51 runs. Aman Singh scored 27 runs while Abhijit Singh Roy scored 23 runs. Akash Chhetri took two wickets. Subhojit Paul was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant all-round performance.
