Kanhaiya Kumar offers Puja in Baram Baba temple while campaigning for Karim Uddin
National Executive Council Member of Communist Party of India, Kanhaiya Kumar is in Silchar to campaign for Mahajhot the (Grand alliance) and especially AIUDF candidate from Sonai Karim Uddin Barbhuiya.
Kumar reached Silchar and then visited Communist Party of India office in Bhuiyaa Galli, Janiganj. There he received a warm welcome. Young supporters of the leader raised several slogans wearing Che Guevara. From there, Kumar left for Baram Baba temple in Silcoorie.
For more than 30 minutes, Kumar followed the priest and chanted the mantras. After Baram Baba’s temple, Kumar offered Puja at a Durga Temple in Silcoorie Nach Garh.
There he addressed a gathering and in his flamboyant style took a jibe at the existing government. “Where are the Paper Mills, where are the AIIMS that were promised by the BJP government,” he questioned.
The CPI member is campaigning for AIUDF’s Karim Uddin Laskar. It was clear that he is trying to swing a slice of Hindu vote in favour of the AIUDF. He referred to the Mantras he chanted, “While following the priest, I chanted Sarba Shanti, Bramha Shanti… that is what Hindu mantras teach us. And here the ones who form government talk about shooting people. Are they the real Hindus,” he asserted.
Kumar urged the youth to realise the crime that is happening against them. “If IPL can happen on time then SSC examination also needs to be happen in time,” he said.
Karim Uddin Barbhuiya is contesting against BJP’s Aminul Haque Laskar.
