Krishanu Dutta shares his experience of celebrating his parents' 25th Anniversary amidst restrictions
Yesterday was my parents’ 25th wedding anniversary and I couldn’t be happier than that. I want to congratulate both of them, my father Krishna Pada Dutta and my mother Sujata Dutta, on accomplishment of this long journey together with their two sons – me (Krishanu Dutta) and my younger brother, Kaushik Dutta.
In these years we have seen many ups and downs but we have always stuck together to overcome all odds. We two brothers what we are today are because of both of them. They’re our foremost strength.
But, it was unfortunate that I couldn’t celebrate it big with all my relatives, friends, and the sports fraternity due to the sudden surge of covid cases around the country and locality. I wanted to make the silver jubilee celebration a grand one, but the need of the hour was staying home and staying safe.
Also since I returned from Kolkata two days back, I have isolated myself along with my family members. So, I kept the celebration a low profile one and arranged it with my uncle, aunts, and cousins.
This second wave has hit us hard, both physically and mentally, but celebrations like this with family members keep things going. I am happy that I could bring happiness to their faces on a special day. Once again congratulations maa and baba for your 25 glorious years together and many more to go.
