Large quantity of Cannabis recovered at Badarpur Railway station

Cannabis was recovered from Agartala-Sealdah Kanchenjunga train at Badarpur railway station. The smuggler was caught by the railway police while trying to smuggle the cannabis outside the state. The intention of the smuggler was to smuggle a lot of cannabis by packing it very strategically.

Based on a tip-off, Railway GRP forces searched Agartala-Sealdah Kanchenjunga Express and found 2 bags of suspected cannabis unclaimed.

They recovered 6 packets of 12 kg cannabis. Police believe that the market value of the seized cannabis will be around five lakh rupees.

The recovery of cannabis has caused a lot of sensation in the station.
