In an interview to India Today TV, the Amit Shah of east Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “It is Narendra Modi’s strategy that has worked in Assam and Northeast. He came up with a promise to provide HIRA to Northeast, HIRA means Highway, Internet, Railways and Airways. Today you have a Northeast which has got far more connected through these means.
Sarma took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi and said “He is not made for politics”. The former congressman said Rahul Gandhi is not aware of the Indian culture and does not respect senior leaders in party.
