Locals protest against poor road conditions and accumulated drain water at Ambicapatty
Ambicapatty witnessed a protest on Monday, as locals took to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with the poor road conditions and rising drain water. The protestors complained that the accumulated drain water has made life difficult for pedestrians and locals, and have also made it impossible for ambulances to navigate through the area.
Speaking to the media, the protestors said that the drainage work in the area was of very poor quality, and that no action has been taken by the municipality to address the issue. They expressed their concern that the road could become a danger for anyone at any moment, and demanded that the district administration complete the road work and drain the accumulated water as soon as possible.
Pedestrians and locals have to frequently step on the water of drains, and vehicular movement is also affected by the poor road conditions. Students of schools and colleges have to cross the drain water to reach their institutions, which has caused inconvenience for them as well.
The protestors have warned that they will form a mass movement in the coming days if the work of the road is not completed soon.
