Man allegedly flashes private parts at girl outside her house in Ukilpatty

A shocking incident has been brought to light in Silchar. A twenty-something girl was on her way back to her residence in the morning when a man confronted her. She said that he was intoxicated has been chasing her for the last couple of days.

“Today when I returned from my Zumba class, I saw the man at my apartment. As I passed by him, he made remarks which were objectionable. I strongly condemned him and asked him to behave himself. But I was shocked the way he responded,” said the lady who was allegedly harassed.

She added, “He removed his pants and started jerking off. I was surprised at this behaviour and had no clue how to react. I screamed on top of my voice but had no help coming towards me. Eventually, I gathered strength and ran as fast as I could. Climbed up the stairs and locked myself inside my residence.”

This is not the first time a female was left stunned in Ukilpatty area. A few days back, a publisher’s mobile phone was snatched while she was returning home. The female who was harassed in the morning said that she has come to know about another female being attacked with a sword.

The locals have alleged time and again that antisocial activities take place at the Ukilpatty area. “During the period (when the youth are getting doped) if any female resident is passing by, they eve tease, pass slangs and we are simply supposed to walk away silently,” said the Ukilpatty resident who was harassed today.

She asserted that if the locals do not help her, she will go and file a police complaint.
