Man hangs himself after killing his own son and daughter

Inhuman act in Hailakandi. A man stabbed his own son and daughter to death and then committed suicide. The incident took place in Visingsa part I a village in Hailakandi district. A man identified as Alam Uddin Laskar, a tuk tuk driver by profession stabbed his four-year old daughter Habiza Begum Laksar and two-year old son Habizur Rahman today afternoon at his own residence.

The neighbours told our correspondent that Alam and his wife never managed to get along well as a result of which there were frequent problems in the married life. In fact, just a couple of days back after an intense argument Alam’s wife left with the two kids to her father’s house. Alam went yesterday to bring them all back but the wife resisted so he returned with both his kids.

Alam’s wife reached home today after getting the shocking information and was in a state of shock. Local police was immediately informed by the neighbours after spotting the dead body. Police reached the spot and sent the bodies to hospital for autopsy.
