In a shocking turn of events, a man Joydip Das (25) killed his wife Diya Roy (25) at his house last night. He then went to the police to confess about his heinous crime and even surrendered. He said that they both had a fight and in a fit of rage he hit her and accidentally ended up killing his wife.

When the officers started investigating, they recovered government-authorised document in the crime spot which showed that the woman’s real name was Kakoli Chakraborty.

Joydip further confessed to the police that he was not married but was living in with Diya (Kakoli) since February 10th. While he has his own house in Ithkola, Silchar, the couple had been staying in a rented apartment in Azad Hind lane, Ashram Road, Silchar.

Senior police officer of Sadar Thana informed barakbulletin.com that the girl is already married and has a child. She was also actively involved in a flesh-trade business (prostitution) and they met through one such deal. The police also shared with us that both of them were intoxicated (drugs and alcohol).

The police are yet to find any clarity about the deceased woman’s identity. Meanwhile, the owner of the apartment, where they were staying as tenants informed us that they had taken up the house stating that they were a married couple but had not furnished any identity, despite asking for it repeatedly.
