Mastermind of Atal Amrit-Ayushman Bharat Card scam Mofazzal Hossain Barbhuiya arrested

Hailakandi Sadar Police arrested Mofazzal Hossain Barbhuiya, owner of Shifa Hospital and Research Center and the mastermind involved in Atal Amrit-Ayushman Bharat Health Card scam.

It may be mentioned here that recently Hailakandi Sadar police froze Shifa Hospital’s bank account for this scam and arrested two health workers Sabir Ahmed Majumdar and Akbar Hossain but the main mastermind Mofazzal Hossain Barbhuiya was running away and evading from the police. However he was caught at last.

Today, on the basis of confidential information, a team of Hailakandi Sadar Police under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Bidhan Das arrested Mofazzal Hossain Barabhuiya from a rented house in Silchar’s Meherpur Botertol area. After that Mofazzal Hossain Barbhuiya was brought to Hailakandi Sadar police station and kept in police custody after undergoing medical treatment.
