Mega Vaccination drive kickstarts in 272 centres across Cachar; District aims to inoculate 50,000 doses

The government of Assam has announced that on September 17, it will conduct a mega vaccination drive like other states. It also happens to be the birth anniversary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the country intends to set a new world record by inoculating the most number of doses. He visited one CVC in Udharbond area and interacted with the beneficiaries and public in general. He also interacted with different stakeholders to know their views to make the drive successful. In the later part of the day he met with some eminent people of Cachar and asked about their views and suggestions for making the drive successful. He met with health officials to take a check on the readiness and preparations and guided them for the same.

In a mega vaccination program, Cachar district has set a target to innoculate 50,000 doses. For this purpose, vaccinations will be administered in 272 vaccination centers across the district on Friday. Originally, those who took Covishield on June 21, 22 and 23 will be administered Covishield for this in mega vaccination drive on Friday. However, in addition to that the first dose will also be given on Friday.
