Minister Suklabaidya inspects Borjelenga Mini PHC, asks to step up testing and vaccinating
Minister for Environment and Forest, Fisheries and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya inspected the Borjelenga Mini Primary Health Centre in Dholai’s Cachar district on Monday to take stock of the institution’s preparedness to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
Minister Suklabaidya while interacting with the health functionaries and nurses asked them to gear up fully to deal with the pandemic situation. He asked them to step up testing and vaccination to contain the disease.
Expressing indebtedness to the health functionaries and health workers for rendering yeoman service to the COVID afflicted persons under Borjelenga block, Minister Suklabaidya asked them to focus on tea garden areas where the positive caseload is high.
The Minister queried about the status of COVID isolation wards under the Borjelenga block. Officials apprised the Minister about their targeted testing and also about the status of isolation wards in tea gardens under this block.
The Minister went round the wards of the mini health center and also exchanged pleasantries with the health workers to boost their morale amid the pandemic times.
