Today morning a man lost his life tragically in a devastating road mishap at around 7 AM. The tragedy took place on the national highway adjacent to the Siddheshwar temple in Badarpur. Abdul Manik Barbuiya (55), resident of Nun Nagar area of ​​Katigara, was sitting behind the bike and died on the spot.

On the other hand, the rider of the bike, Abdul Mannan Barbuiya, is battling for life at Silchar Medical College and Hospital and is in critical condition. According to the police, the two brothers Abdul Manik and Abdul Mannan, resident of the Nun Nagar village in Katigorah left for Hailakandi at around 6.50 am.

The motorcycle collided head on with a loaded truck while taking turn near the Shiva Temple. Locals rushed to rescue the injured ones and sent them to the Panchgram Police Station.

Upon hearing the news, police led by ASI Majarul Islam rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies and sent them to SK Kishore Civil Hospital. From there Abdul Mannan was referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
