MS Manivannan gets transferred, Anbamuthan MP to be Karimganj's new DC

In an administrative reshuffle, the state government today transferred and posted 6 IAS officials in the state. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Personnel Administrative Department of Assam Government.

As per the notification, current Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj, MS Manivannan has been transferred and posted as Secretary to the Government of Assam, Revenue and DM Departments whereas Anbamuthan MP(IAS) to take charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Karimganj.

“In the interest of Public Service, Shri Anbamuthan MP, IAS (RR-2014), staff officer to Chief Secretary Assam is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Karimganj” reads the notification.

Whereas in the case of MS Manivannan, the notification reads: “In the interest of Public Service, Shri MS Manivannan IAS (RR-2005), Deputy commissioner, Karimganj is transferred and posted as Secretary to the government of Assam, Revenue and DM Departments and CEO ASDMA, Assam as additional charge.

However, MS Manivannan will only hand over the charge after completion of payment of bonus in tea garden in the district.

Anbamuthan MP is an ex Indian army officer and also received Sena Medal for gallantry, in counter insurgency, by the President of India.
