“My father wants to get Raj Mazumdar killed,” explosive video of Sonai Road’s missing girl; “She needs counselling,” Mansur Alom Mazumdar

The high profile case involving industrialist Mansur Alom Mazumdar – owner of Yamaha Showroom in Silchar among other businesses has taken yet another turn. He alleged that Raj Mazumdar of Raj Driving School has kidnapped his 19-year-old daughter. He went on to say that he fears his daughter might be dead. He along with local MLAs went to meet the deputy commissioner of Cachar and the Superintendent of Police.

Within 24 hours, his daughter released another video that features Raj Mazumdar in the same frame. Saheeba Mazumdar reiterated that as an adult, she has lawfully married Raj Mazumdar and it is a choice she made as per her wish. She added that she has informed her parents before she eloped with Raj Mazumdar. Shocking revelation in the video is that she has blamed her father for orchestrating a conspiracy involving her mother-in-law.

“I have seen and read that my father has said my mother-in-law has kidnapped me. These are baseless allegations. Actually, my father wanted my mother in law to resign from the job and as she decided against it, he is dragging her name and defaming as an act of vengeance,” said Saheeba Mazumdar.

She added, “We are absconding because we know if we let them know our address it will have dangerous consequences. My father has already put a Rs 10-lakh bounty on my husband’s head to get him killed. This brutality is what we fear and why are running away. We have nothing to hide, we are married and we honour our decision. My father is trying to get my husband killed and they can do anything to me.”

Speaking with Barak Bulletin, Mansur Alom Mazumdar shared his reaction to the video. “These are shocking revelations and I don’t know where this is headed to. My only request is to the Police, they must detain her and produce her before the judge. I believe the constitution is the last word and the law of the land must decide. Whatever she has to say, let her say it to the judge without any pressure,” said Mansur Alom Mazumdar.

He added, “My daughter was infected by COVID 19 and I think she needs counselling. It will be good if the Cachar Police detains her and sends her to a counsellor who can check her mental state. My daughter is just 18 and I don’t know what influence she is under, so it is time the Police acts, before it is too late.”
