NEET PG Exam In Silchar: Worried aspirants demand transportation from District Administration
NEET PG medical entrance exam aspirants of Barak Valley facing a tough time as the examination is scheduled on May 21 this year, but transport and communication system in Silchar city has been disrupted due to severe flood situation and roads connecting to the examination center is submerged under water.
More than 200 medical graduates are there in Barak Valley who are set to appear for the examination conducted by National Medical Commission for post graduate degree in medicine and surgery.
The NEET PG exam centre is located at Awalia Bazar in Sonai Road, but the adjacent roads are totally inundated under water.
The aspirants are getting worried and anxious seeing the prevailing situation in Silchar. The aspirants brought this issue to the district administration, they appealed to the administration to manage transportation from Rangirkhari point. “It is a matter of our career and we believe the District Administration will help us during this situation. These doctors have served the valley during all the covid waves,” one aspirant told Barak Bulletin.
The reporting time for the examination is 7am to 8.30 am, and no-one is allowed to enter after the reporting time.
One of the aspirant has already intimated the DC Office Silchar and spoken to ADC (Education). He has been made aware of the examination but we are awaited an active initiative regarding the same, the aspirant informed.
