NF Railway announces a Special Silchar - Guwahati weekly train

The Northeast Frontier Railway will run a Special train between Guwahati – Silchar, as an ‘experimental basis’ for three trips starting from 15 March 2020.

According to the sources, 05611 Guwahati Silchar weekly passenger train will depart from Guwahati on every Sunday at 5:30 pm and will reach Silchar by next day morning 05:45 am. The train will depart again at 08:05 pm on Monday from Silchar and will reach Guwahati at 7:45 am on Tuesday.

It is important to note here, that the train is on an experimental basis and will run only for three weeks. From Guwahati, it will run on 15, 22 and 29th March whereas from Silchar it will run on 16, 23 and 30th March.

The rake will compose of -1 AC three-tier, 1 AC two-tier, 8 sleeper coaches and 2 general coaches. The train will take a halt at Katakhal, Badarpur, Bihara, New Harangajao, New Haflong, Mahur and other important stations of the rail section.
