
NF Railway to restart Silchar - Dibrugarh Express train; Will run upto New Tinsukia
The Northeast Frontier Railways has proposed to resume the Silchar Dibrugarh Express train from September, which from now on will run upto New Tinsukia station, a railway notification mentioned.
The train will kick-start its journey on September 4. It will leave Silchar every Saturday 8:10 pm, making a stop at the Badarpur station 8:50 pm. The next stops are at New Haflong and Lumding at 10.51 pm and 1:55 pm respectively, among other stations.
The train will halt at 10 intermediary stations including Badarpur, New Haflong, Lumding. It will reach New Tinsukia next day by 10 am and depart back at 6:05 pm to reach Silchar by 7 am the next day.
The train consists of a total 23 coaches, with primary maintenance at Silchar. The train has also been allotted a new number of 05641/05642.
