NF Railways announces temp-cancellation of several trains including Humsafar express via Badarpur

In a recent announcement, the NF Railways has informed that several train services will be canceled due to the upcoming 7-day Pre-Non interlocking and 3-day Non-interlocking work at Ranital Station of Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway. The cancellation will affect many passengers traveling on these routes, causing inconvenience and frustration.

One of the critical trains to be canceled is the 12504 Agartala – SMVT Bengaluru Humsafar Express. The train will not be operational on the 4th and 7th of March, along with the return of the same train on the 28th Feb and 3rd of March. This train is an important connectivity mode for South Assam and stops at New Karimganj and Badarpur, making the cancellation even more significant for the region.

Apart from the Agartala – SMVT Bengaluru Humsafar Express, the Secunderabad and Guwahati Express will also be canceled on 4th March, along with the return route of the same train on 2nd March. The Dibrugarh Kanyakumari express is also affected, with its cancellation on 25th Feb and 28th Feb and the return on 2nd March and 5th March.

This announcement has caused disappointment among travelers who were planning to travel via these trains during the affected dates. One netizen even expressed strong disapproval on social media, questioning the logic behind the cancellation of trains on the eve of the Holi festival. “At the eve of Holi festival cancellation of trains ! Is it logical?” read the tweet.
