NIT Silchar organises School Genius; inter school competition to be held on Oct 19, 20

School Genius, an inter school competition for school students of Barak valley has been scheduled to take place in the campus of NIT Silchar on October 19-20.

The two day event usually attracts school students from all over the Barak valley with its fun and innovative competitions. Last year students from more than 20 schools took part in the various competitions. This year the number has increased to 25.

The competition primarily focuses on the exhibition and development of the technical and management skills of the school students of Barak Valley. It will be organised and managed completely by the students of NIT Silchar and will be brimming with fun, interesting and challenging competitions.

A plethora of competitions are conducted under School Genius. This year School Genius has come up with more than a dozen completions. There are also online competitions like

Shutter World 5.0, which is an online photography contest for which the theme is “Streets” and “Culture”.

Just DO-odle it, an online doodling competition.

Decypher, this event has been added this year. Here the thinking ability of the students is tested by challenging them with tricky questions.

There are also other events lined up which will develop the technical abilities of a student like, Robotics Workshop, Scientific Dig and Xtreme Typing, Science Exhibition, Math Pirates and many others. To provide a platform to the budding entrepreneurs who want to start something of their own and on their own, there will be ‘Startup Buzz’. Competitions like Spoken Poetry and Spell Bee will also be there to tests the literary skills of students.
