No Fire on Silchar-Agartala Express: NFR CPRO Claims it to be a Hoax
Reports have surfaced claiming that a fire broke out in an AC compartment of the Silchar-Agartala Express, causing panic among passengers as the train reached Jogendranagar Station. However, the Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of N.F. Railway has pronounced these reports a hoax.
Initially, it was believed that the fire was noticed by passengers when the train arrived at Jogendranagar Station, leading to widespread unrest among those on board.
In an effort to confirm the veracity of these reports, Barak Bulletin reached out to Sabyasachi De, the CPRO of N.F. Railway. Although he could not initially respond to our call due to being in a meeting, he soon contacted us to clarify the situation.
Upon speaking with us, Sabyasachi De categorically stated that the reports of a fire were untrue. He proclaimed it a hoax, emphasising that no fire had occurred.
“A fuse broke which was replaced immediately and the train left without any problem,” he explained. This statement clarifies that there was no major incident; only a minor technical issue that was swiftly resolved.
