Parked truck loaded with 306 empty cylinders goes missing from Rongpur

In a shocking turn of affairs, a parked Tata 1613 truck filled with 306 empty cylinder goes missing from Rangpur. The truck which delivered Indane LPG Cylinders in Mizoram was returning back to the plant in Borkhola.

“Last night the driver called me to say that he has parked the truck next to the first petrol pump in Rongpur and he is going to his home while the handyman would be sleeping in the truck itself,” says Sangram Roy husband of Supriya Saha – owner of the truck.

Roy said okay to the drivers’ request since today is a Sunday. “I asked him to drive the vehicle to the plant early next morning so that there is no delay,” says Roy.

In the morning at around 7 O’clock, it was noticed that the vehicle with registration number MZ 05 7624 is not where the driver parked it last night. In fact, the driver could not locate the truck anywhere and called Roy to inform about it, “I rushed to the Police station and lodged a complaint. The enquiry has started,” informs Roy.

The handyman who slept in the vehicle is not reachable either. “His mobile is switched off and we have not heard anything from him since last night,” says Roy.

Sangram Roy is a resident of Rongpur area in Silchar. He requests everyone to call 9864347568 / 9435070299 and inform if they trace the Tata truck MZ 05 7624.
