PHE Minister Jayanta Mallah Baruah reaches Silchar, stresses on Cabinet preparation

Guardian Minister of Cachar and Hailakandi, Jayanta Mallah Baruah reached Kumbirgram Airport today morning as a part of his three-day plan which includes the distribution of cheques for microfinance in Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi. The Minister will attend various departmental meetings in all three districts of the valley. Today morning he also talked about the next cabinet meeting of the state which is scheduled to be held in Silchar.

The PHE, Tourism and Employment and Empowerment Minister of the state reached Silchar airport this morning and from there he left for Karimganj. Today at Karimganj, he will attend a cheque distribution ceremony for microfinance schemes. About the cheque distribution scheme in the three districts, he said, “Before the elections, we assured that we will provide relief to the female borrowers of micro-finance schemes. The first phase of relief distribution of this scheme was complete and now the second phase is ongoing. Accordingly, I have reached here today to distribute the cheques among the beneficiaries of Barak Valley”.

About the upcoming Cabinet Meeting of the Assam Government which is going to be held in Silchar, the cabinet minister said, “The preparation for the Silchar cabinet has started already. We have had this plan for a cabinet meeting in Barak for a long time and definitely this will bring some good news for the people of Barak”. The cabinet meeting will be held in Cachar on November 11 which was also announced during the last cabinet meeting on October 19.

The guardian minister of Hailakandi and Cachar will hold an all-department cabinet meeting at both districts on October 27 and 28 respectively. After distributing micro-finance scheme cheques at Karimnganj, the minister will leave for Hailakandi in the later afternoon. The same program is being scheduled for Hailakandi and Cachar on October 28. On October 29, Jayanta Malla Baruah will leave for Guwahati from Silchar.
