Pistols, Cartridges recovered from a abandoned bag kept inside a ASTC bus in ISBT, police initiates investigation

Two pistols, 40 fresh bullets and some more objectionable items were recovered from a bus at Ramnagar ISBT.

The goods were recovered from a passenger bus oerating under ASTC which came from Dharmanagar, Tripura last night.

According to the information received, the bus reached ISBT in the evening, all the passengers got off and after a while, the driver’s assistant got into the bus to clean the Bus. Suddenly he found a abandoned bag under a seat.
Two pistols with 40 rounds of ammunition, a pair of shoes and some other items were found inside the bag .

On receiving this information, the police went there and recovered the bag with all the items.

However, it is not clear whether the bag was left abondoned by some miscreants or any passanger of the bus brought these along with him.

Police have already initiated investigation about the matter.
