Pre monsoon rainfall halts Silchar

Just a few hours of pre-monsoon rainfall has inundated various parts of Silchar town. Instances of water-logging has been witnessed in Hailakandi Road, National Highway, Ambicapatty, Sonai Road and various other parts of Silchar town.

This indicates that the problem of drainage system which has been a teething issue for the residents of the Valley since a very long time, still very much persists. If the drainage issue is not solved immediately, the forthcoming rainy season will bring in a lot of distress for the people of Silchar.
