Reliance Jio announces "True 5g" in Silchar; Limited to customers who have received welcome offer

Reliance Jio, a major telecom company in India from the stable of Mukesh Ambani, has expanded its 5G service to 16 additional cities. The company announced that residents in Kakinada, Kurnool, Silchar, Shivamogga, Davanagere, Hospet, Bidar, Gadag-Betagiri, Kannur, Kottayam, Palakkad, Tiruppur, Khammam, Nizamabad, and Bareilly can now access the Welcome Offer.

With this expansion, Reliance Jio’s 5G service is now available in 134 cities across India. However, it should be noted that the service can only be used by customers who have received an invitation through the Welcome Offer.

Under Jio Welcome Offer one will be provided additional Unlimited 5G data along with the existing entitlements under active recharges/plans. The additional unlimited 5G data will work if the user has a valid active base plan.

Additional unlimited 5G data benefits will be used for user’s usage on the 5G network and the data entitlement under the user’s active base plan will be used for your usage on 4G network.

Informing what should one do to experience Jio’s 5g, the telecom giant states, “In our promise to make customers’ life simpler, we bring latest technology with highest level of convenience. Jio is a true 5G-ready network unlike other networks. Jio users do not need to change their SIM card. You will need a Jio-5G network compatible 5G-handset and 5G-network availability in your area, and you will be eligible for an invitiation to the Jio Welcome Offer.”
